Kabete Stallions brilliant half
Impala Boks had an early chance to respond, but Keith Barasa’s penalty attempt fell short. Onyango extended the Stallions’ lead shortly after with a successful penalty kick, taking them to 10-0. The Boks fought back in the 16th minute when Dalvin Mwangi crossed over, narrowing the score to 10-5.
The Stallions quickly reasserted control, with Zoelick Buyoni scoring just three minutes later to push the lead to 15-5. Onyango’s penalty extended the advantage to 18-5 before the Stallions suffered a minor setback, with centre Brian Ondieki receiving a yellow card. Despite the temporary disadvantage, the Stallions earned another penalty, which Onyango slotted through to lead 21-8 at halftime.

In the second half, Buyoni struck again, completing his brace with a well-taken try on the left wing, which Onyango converted to stretch the scoreline to 28-8. Although Patrick Mutuku managed a penalty for the Boks, narrowing it slightly, the Stallions’ momentum proved unstoppable.
The Stallions were briefly penalized near their five-meter zone, leading to a penalty try awarded to Impala Boks, bringing the score to 28-14 with just 10 minutes remaining. But the Stallions had the final say when they capitalized on an Impala knock-on. Milton Mbugua chased down a kick ahead, grounding the ball to seal the game with a dominant 35-14 victory.
With this commanding win, Kabete Stallions head to the final with confidence and momentum on their side.
