Harlequin will be using this tournament as a preparatory ground for the upcoming 2023/2024 Kenya Cup season, slated to begin in November. Their participation in Kitaka 10s has led them to forgo the 2024 Impala Floodlit tournament, their usual pre-season event.
Hosted by Kampala Old Boys (KOBs) Rugby Club, the Kitaka 10s will feature 12 men’s teams and six women’s teams, including Pirates, Buffaloes, Tororo Crests, Impis, Eagles, Rams, and Rhinos.
Nondies won the 2023 edition after 5-0 win over the then Uganda 7s Champions Black Pirates in the final.
