The National 7s Circuit is headed into its final stage, with Kenya Harlequin in prime position to be crowned champions.
Their second cup title of the season has propelled them to the top of the standings with 97 points after securing 22 points in Mombasa with a narrow 15-12 victory over KCB Rugby.
National 7s Circuit
This win gives Quins a nine-point cushion over second-placed Kabras RFC, putting head coach Paul Murunga in the driver’s seat for his third National 7s Circuit title, having previously won the competition with Homeboyz in 2016 and 2018.
Despite missing out on a podium finish in Mombasa, Kabras RFC remain in contention for the title they last won in 2017.
However, their 22-10 loss to Blak Blad in the semifinals gave Quins the advantage heading into the final leg of the competition.
KCB Rugby remain in the title race after finishing second in Mombasa, earning 19 crucial points to keep them within striking distance of the top.
