Nakuru RFC effect changes for Driftwood 7s

Nakuru RFC head coach Simon Wariuki has made several changes to his squad ahead of the Driftwood 7s, set to take place at Mombasa Sports Club this Saturday and Sunday.

Wariuki has brought in fresh talent with Enock Obae, George Kimani, Fredrick Odongo , James Macharia, Derick Sore, and Jacob Miller.

The six are in to replace Javan Otieno, Joel Mboya, Bonvert Opande, Chrisant Ojwang, Victor Matiko, and Brian Kimani.

Apart from these changes, Nakuru RFC have retained Kenya U20 back Philip Okeyo who will captain the side.

Barry Opondo, Rodgers Audi, Josphat Njuge, Habbakuk Ouma, Gilbert Ochieng, and Felix Okoth have also maintained their spots in the team.

The technical bench will consist of head coach Wariuki, assistant coach Cassius Oyoo, and team manager James Kelosio.

Currently sitting in ninth position with 35 points, Nakuru RFC find themselves in Pool C alongside Kenya Harlequin, Kabras Sugar, and Mwamba RFC.

Wanyore last won the Driftwood 7s title in 2018, beating Mwamba 12-7 thanks to a sudden death try by former Kenya 7s skipper Nelson.
