2 changes and positional switches for Namibia ahead of Zimbabwe clash

Namibia head coach Allister Coetzee has made two changes to his squad and several positional switches ahead of the semi-final encounter against Zimbabwe in the Rugby Africa Cup semi-final match set for Nelson Mandela Stadium in Namboole on Wednesday at 4:00 p.m.

The changes and positional switches are in the backline.  Jacques Theron stays at scrum-half with Danco Burger moving from inside centre to fly-half as Denzo Bruwer drops to the bench.

Nandi Karuuombe has been handed a place on the left wing as Lloyd Jacobs drops to the bench. Alcino Izaacs has moved to the inside centre while Hillian Beukes comes in as the outside centre.

EDITOR’S PICKS:

Querion Majiedt and Jay-Cee Nel have retained their right wing and fullback places, respectively. In the front row,  Jason Benade, Obert Nortje and Haitembu Shikufa will partner with Rohan Retief and Ruan Ludick set for second-row pairing.

Peter Diergaardt, Max Katjijeko and Adriaan Booysen have been retained as backrowers. Namibia and Zimbabwe will face off in the semis once again in what will be a repeat of the 2022 semi-final, which Namibia won 34–19.
