Ireland are leading the World Rugby Rankings after the two series of the group stage with 91.82 points above South Africa who are ranked second with 91.67.
In the third position, Hosts France who have won all their two pool matches are ranked 90.59 above their pool mates New Zealand who are fourth with 87.69 points despite having a bad encounter with the hosts being denied their first pool game victory.
England, Australia and Wales have made a rise in their standing position as Fiji and Argentina drop in ranking.
England are now ranked sixth after they humbled Japan to a 34-12 win thus making a shift in position replacing Argentina to hold the sixth position from their previous eighth position after the second-round games.
Australia have replaced the Fijians in the seventh position despite losing to them in the second round of the game, Australia have for sixty-nine years never fallen short in the hands of the Fijians.
