Mwamba RFC remain firmly in control of the 2025/2026 KRU Championship after extending their stay at the top of the table at the end of Week Seven.
The Thika Road-based side sit on 31 points from seven matches, having won six and lost only once. Mwamba boast the best defensive record in the league, conceding just 93 points, while their +100 points difference underlines their dominance so far.
Hot on their heels are JKUAT Cougars, who have mounted a strong title challenge of their own. The university outfit have picked up 29 points from seven matches, winning six and drawing once. Their disciplined campaign has seen them score 161 points while conceding 112, keeping them within touching distance of the league leaders.
In third place are Catholic Monks on 27 points after bouncing back from back to back losses this season. With five wins from seven matches and a healthy +89 points difference, the Monks remain a serious contender in the promotion race.

SC Pirates occupy fourth spot with 21 points after five wins, while NYS Spades complete the top five on 19 points despite a negative points difference of -25, highlighting their struggle in tight contests.
Mid-table is tightly packed, with Kisii RFC (16 points), Homeboyz RFC (14) and Mombasa RFC (13) all separated by narrow margins. These sides remain in the hunt for a top-four finish as the second half of the season approaches.
At the lower end, traditional heavyweights Mean Machine (11 points) and USIU Martials (11 points) continue to search for consistency, while Zetech Oaks (10) and Western Bulls (5) are rooted at the bottom of the log.
