Kenya Morans’ teenage sensation Rayvone Ambale was named Most Valuable Player (MVP) at the Zambezi 7s Challenge held in Harare on Saturday.
The youngster pocketed US$500 (approximately KShs 64,925) for his outstanding performance throughout the two-day tournament.

Ambale’s brilliance was evident across all stages of the competition. On day two, he slotted in two conversions in the final win.
In the semifinals, he was directly involved in 26 points, scoring two tries, nailing eight of nine conversions, and providing five try assists as the Morans cruised to a 61-0 victory.
Earlier, in the quarterfinal against Old Miltonians, the Kabras Sugar playmaker crossed the line twice, added several conversions, and created multiple scoring chances for his teammates.

Since returning to the country in June, Ambale has impressed in the National 7s Circuit, earned his Kenya Morans debut at the Safari 7s, and now capped it off with an MVP performance in Harare.
He will be hoping to continue his fine form when the Kenya Cup kicks off in a fortnight.
