East African 7s Champions Vihiga High School have been nominated for the 2024 Sports Personality of the Year Awards (SOYA), set to take place on Wednesday, April 16, at the Kenyatta International Convention Centre (KICC).

The triumph came just weeks after they finished second in the National 7s tournament, where they had fallen to the same opponents.

Vihiga will face stiff competition from All Saints Embu, who impressed in the 15s format by winning the 2024 KSSSA National 15s title before going on to lift the East African 15s title.
