The Zimbabwe Rugby Union has confirmed the fixtures for the 2025 U20 Barthes Trophy, which will take place at the Old Hararians Sports Club in Harare, Zimbabwe.
Four teams—Kenya U20, Zimbabwe, Namibia, and Tunisia—will once again battle for top honours in the continental competition, with matches scheduled across three matchdays.
Kenya U20 in Barthes Trophy
Defending champions Kenya U20, also known as Chipu, will kick off the tournament against Tunisia at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, 19 April 2025. Hosts Zimbabwe will then face Namibia in the day’s second fixture at 4:00 p.m.
Matchday two, slated for Wednesday, 23 April, will see Kenya take on Namibia at 1:00 p.m., followed by a 4:00 p.m. clash between Zimbabwe and Tunisia.

The final day of action will take place on Sunday, 27 April. Namibia will face Tunisia at 12:00 p.m., while the tournament concludes with a potential title decider between Zimbabwe and Kenya at 3:00 p.m.
Kenya head into the tournament as favourites, having clinched the 2024 Rugby Africa U20 Barthes Trophy after a commanding 28-13 victory over Zimbabwe in Harare.
The win marked Chipu’s third title in the competition and earned them a spot at the 2024 World Rugby U20 Trophy, held in Scotland from 2–17 July.
