Kabras RFC captain George Nyambua is set to achieve a major milestone as he lines up for his 10th consecutive Kenya Cup final on Saturday, April 12, 2025, against Menengai Oilers at the Kakamega Showground.
Nyambua, who has featured in nine previous finals and lifted the title four times—including a remarkable three-peat as skipper—will start at number five, partnering Hillary Odhiambo in the second row.

Head coach Carlos Katywa has opted for consistency in his selection, retaining the tight five that started in the semifinals. Ephraim Oduor and Asuman Mugerwa will pack down as the props, with Eugene Sifuna at hooker.
The only change in the pack sees Kenya Sevens international William Mwanji earn his first start of the season, replacing Gabriel Adero in the back row. Patrick Lumumba, enjoying a standout campaign, keeps his spot at flank, while Jeanson Misoga remains at number eight.

Barry Robinson continues at scrum-half with Ntabeni Dukisa directing play from fly-half. The midfield pairing of Walter Okoth and Bryceson Adaka has also been retained.
Top try-scorer Griffin Chao will operate from the left wing, while Brian Mutua finally cracks the starting XV on the right wing, taking over from Alfred Orege. Eric Cantona who has impressed this season has made it to the starting squad as full back.
The bench features Kenya Sevens stars Kevin Wekesa, Brian Tanga, and Jone Kubu, offering firepower for the latter stages.
Kabras are chasing a historic fourth consecutive Kenya Cup crown and their fifth overall in the top flight.
