Shujaa had already missed out on a top-eight finish before the tournament and will now focus on the promotion/relegation playoff in Los Angeles.

In LA, the top eight men’s and women’s teams will battle for the World Championship title in a winner-takes-all showdown.
Additionally, the bottom four teams in the men’s SVNS standings — Kenya, Ireland, Uruguay, and USA — will face off against the top four teams from the HSBC Sevens Challenger Series in a high-stakes promotion and relegation playoff that will determine the 2026 World 7s Series lineup.
