Daystar Falcons ended Catholic Monks’ eight-match unbeaten run, securing a hard-fought 16-15 victory at the Catholic University Grounds.
Heading into the match, the Falcons had suffered just one loss, while the Monks were riding high on an impressive eight-game winning streak.
Daystar lead
The Falcons took an early lead with a penalty try, going 7-0 up. The hosts responded with a converted try, leveling the scores at 7-7.
Eddy Wambugu then kicked two penalties for the Falcons, while the Monks were only able to manage one, giving Daystar a 13-10 lead.
The Monks fought back with a try, putting them ahead 15-13, but Wambugu drilled a crucial penalty that sealed the win for the Falcons.
In other action, JKUAT Cougars came from behind to claim a 13-10 victory over Mean Machine.

USIU Martial also staged a second-half comeback, rising from a 17-15 halftime deficit to secure a 23-22 win.
Meanwhile, TUM Marines emerged victorious as Western Bulls were awarded a walkover.
