KRU Championship log after week 8

The KRU Championship Matchweek 8 unfolded last weekend with MMUST RFC continuing to shine, remaining unbeaten and solidifying their position at the top of the log while Zetech Oaks and Mean Machine saw their winning streaks come to an end.

MMUST RFC triumphed over TUM Marines with a score of 35-13, securing their eighth consecutive victory and amassing a total of 38 points. This includes six bonus points and a superior point differential of 184, showcasing their dominance in the league.

Close behind are the Catholic Monks, who also remain unbeaten and sit in second place with 36 points, though they have secured fewer bonus points (4) than MMUST.

Daystar Falcons occupy the third spot with 34 points after a narrow 22-20 victory over Homeboyz RFC. They have won seven matches and suffered only one loss this season, which came against MMUST. Zetech Oaks round off the top four with 28 points, but their recent 22-17 defeat to JKUAT Cougars over the weekend halted their momentum.

Homeboyz RFC is in fifth place with 27 points, while JKUAT Cougars hold sixth place with 19 points.

The mid-table remains tightly contested, with Mean Machine, Western Bulls, and Mombasa SC RC ranked seventh, eighth, and ninth respectively. They are separated by narrow margins, each holding 14, 13, and 11 points respectively.

At the bottom of the log, USIU Martials, TUM Marines, and UoE Trojans continue to struggle for form. Each team has recorded three, two, and two points respectively. Notably, UoE Trojans remain winless after eight matches, managing just two points to their name.
