Week six of the KRU Championship brought thrilling action, with Mean Machine earning their second win of the season after defeating USIU 29-12 at Impala Club.

The former Kenya Cup sides battled in a tightly contested first half, with Machine edging USIU 12-5. However, the second half saw Mean Machine pull away, scoring 17 points.

Wambura Alex, Matamari Collins, Calvin Otieno, Jeremy Dhiwume, and Carlton Emmanuel all crossed the whitewash, while Norman Felix added two conversions to seal the victory.

The Kakamega Derby delivered drama as Western Bulls protested a late try in the 78th minute that handed Masinde Muliro University of Science and Technology (MMUST) a narrow 10-9 win at the Bull Ring.

The match was ended prematurely amid heated protests that the pass that led to MMUST’s final try was a forward, marking another chapter in the intense rivalry between the two sides.
