Ojee with a hat trick as ruthless KCB pummel Mwamba RFC

KCB Rugby were too hot for Mwamba RFC to handle as they outscored Mwamba RFC 77-22 in a game staged at RFUEA grounds.

KCB Rugby were red hot scoring seven tries in both first and second half. Davis Chenge got a brace with Jacob Ojee managing a hat trick. Peter Waitere, Emmanuel Silungi, Austin Sikutwa, Rocky Aguko, Dennis Waithaka went over once.

KCB were quick off the blocks scoring two tries in quick succession with Elvis Namusasi managing one conversion. Mwamba RFC would respond minutes later with a try in the corner which was converted. Mwamba RFC would cut the deficit further after they added a penalty goal to take the scores to 12-10.

Peter Waitere gave KCB third try which Namusasi converted with Jacob Ojee crossing over for their fourth try to extend the Bankers lead. Davis Chenge grabbed his brace as lock Emmanuel Silungi capped off a stellar first half with a try after he burged over.

Austin Sikutwa scored KCB’s first try of the second half which was converted. Moments later, Tyson Maina got his first try of the match thanks to a brilliant phase of play off a scrum. Jacob Ojee landed his third to take the scores to 60-10.

Mwamba RFC would get on the scoreboard again after they got their second try of the match which went unconverted. But, that wouldn’t stop the momentum of the Bankers as they continued to pile more miseries to Mwamba.

Rocky Aguko and Dennis Waithaka would cross over with both tries being converted to take the scores to 72-15. Mwamba RFC got a consolation try late in the match which was converted. In the final phase of play, KCB managed to get another try which went unconverted to win the game 77-22.
