Uganda Premiership champions Heathens kicked off their 2025 campaign in style with a commanding 45-12 victory over Warriors at Kyadondo in the opening round of the season.
The reigning champions, who completed a treble in 2024, wasted no time asserting their dominance. They scored an early converted try before Trevor Ochan capitalized on a switch play to extend the lead to 14-0 after a successful conversion by Daniel Okello.
Dennis Etwau’s brilliant offload to Nobert Okeny resulted in an unconverted try, giving Heathens a 19-0 advantage at halftime.
In the second half, veteran Scott Oluoch crossed the line from a rolling maul, with Okello adding the extras to make it 26-0. Okeny then set up Etwau, who had assisted his first-half try, to score and push the tally to 31-0.
