Kenya 7s duo Samuel Asati and Kevin Wekesa have earned nominations for the Kenya Tourism Awards, where they will compete for the Best Male Sports Tourism Personality category against some of the country’s most celebrated athletes.
Shujaa vice-captain Samuel Asati and forward Kevin Wekesa are up against former Marathon World Record holder Eliud Kipchoge, Africa’s fastest man Ferdinand Omanyala, Olympic 800m champion Emmanuel Wanyonyi, and runner Amos Kimtai.

Other nominees include rising football star Aldrine Kibet, goalkeeper Brian Bwire, golfer Njoroge Kibugu, and motorsport athlete Jeremy Wahome.
