Pools of the 13th edition of the Eastern African University 7s Games have been confirmed ahead of the games scheduled to take place at Maseno University in Kenya from December 16th to 20th, 2024.
Kenya will be represented by five Universities in the rugby category which are Maseno University, Kisii University, USIU – Africa, Kenyatta University and Technical University, Mombasa.
Uganda will be represented by two University competing in rugby which are Ugandan Christian University and Uganda Martyrs University.

Pool A consists of Uganda Martyrs University from Uganda, USIU-Africa from Kenya and Kisii University also from Kenya.
Technical University of Mombasa from Kenya are in Pool B alongside Ugandan Christian University from Uganda and Kenyatta University, hosts Maseno University both from Kenya.
Strathmore University are the defending champions having won Gold in Rugby at the 12th edition of the Eastern Africa University Games in 2022, held at Ndejje University which had five teams competing in Rugby.
Uganda was represented by a total of four teams which were Uganda Christian University (UCU), Ndejje University, Kyambogo University, and Makerere University.
