Kenya 7s co-captain George Ooro believes the teams has more to give as they head to the third leg of the World 7s Series.
Kenya 7s managed to secure the 7th place finish in the second leg of the World 7s series that took place in Cape Town.
Kenya 7s improvement
It was an improvement from Dubai where they finished 10th and this propelled them to position ninth on the standings and just a point behind Australia and Great Britain in the top eight.
According to Ooro, it’s about taking one game at a time and leaving everything on the pitch.

For him, moving from 10th position to 9th position show’s their progress but he is aware there’s still more to give.
“For us, it’s about taking one game at a time and leaving everything on the pitch. Moving from 10th in Dubai to 9th in Cape Town shows our progress, but we know there’s still more to give,” he said in a statement on his X.
Kenya 7s not done
The co-captain added that they are not done yet as this is just the beginning.
“Every step forward is a reflection of the hardwork, the teamwork and the pride we carry for Kenya. We’re not done yet- this is just the beginning,” the statement read.
Kenya 7s showed significant improvement in Cape Town, securing a seventh-place finish after a 32-17 victory over Great Britain in the playoffs.
