KCB, Kabras reap big in the ESS week 3 home matches

The KCB Cubs were in fine form managing a 92-0 against Strathmore Leos II to defend their home ground pride while Kabras stagged a high 105-3 win against Kisumu at home.

KCB Cubs II vs Strathmore Leos II

Starting off on the score sheet was Levy Amunga who scored the first try to ensure the lead for the younger side 5-0 after a missed conversion before the eighth man Rocky Aguko managed to appear on the score sheet stretching their lead 10-0 and was converted by Smith Muhoya to add two on the score to lead 12-0.

With the clock ticking, Michael Kimwele managed to break the Leos defence scoring a try that was converted by Smith Muhoya to stretch their lead 19-0 before the prop Jack Adero heavily drove past the defence to score a try that was also converted by Smith Muhoya Mathenge to change the score 26-0.

In the dying minutes of the first half, Michael Wamalwa took to heel breaking through the defence to extend their dominance 33-0 after another successful conversion by Smith Muhoya before Rocky Aguko went over the try line to score his brace before the halftime whistle changing the score 38-0.

In the second half, KCB Cubs maintained their dominance over the Leos with Horus Alela scoring the first try to extend their win 45-0 after a successful conversion by Smith Muhoya before Levy Amunga scored his brace which was also converted by Muhoya stretching their lead 52-0.

Michael Wamalwa managed his brace as KCB displayed dominance with the scores changing to 59-0 after a conversion by Smith Muhoya before Obungu Owade made a scoresheet appearance stretching their lead 66-0 after Smith’s successful conversion.

James Ochieng also found a chance off the bench scoring a try to stretch their lead 73-0 after Smith’s golden boot found the posts before Elphas Adunga stretched the score 80-0 after a successful conversion by Smith Muhoya.

Thomas Okidia also found a gap, making it to the try line to stretch their lead 85-0 before Rocky Aguko managed his hat-trick to end the match 92-0.

Kenya Harlequin II vs KU Blak Blad II

The Kenya Harlequin II managed to humble the young KU Blak Blad varsity side in a rather balanced match to secure a 22-11 win.

The match saw Hassan Yasin managing a brace for the Harlequin side with Joshua Okello scoring a conversion and a penalty while Mathew Ouma and Ted Edgar each managing a try.

Stephen Wafula also got his name on the score sheet after managing to score a conversion off Yassins try.

The Blak Blad side managed to respond through Morris Mutugi who scored the only try for the side with Jowi Barret and Gabriel Otete each managing a penalty conversion.

Kabras Rugby II on their side managed to bag a top point win of the weekend witj a 105-03 against Kisumu RFC II.
