Fly-half Anthony Omondi Mboya has been named in Kenya 7s’ final squad for the Cape Town 7s, scheduled to kick off on Saturday.
Omondi’s inclusion marks his return to the national team after a contractual dispute sidelined him from recent action, including the Dubai 7s.
Kenya 7s absence
During his absence, he featured for the invitational side Shogun in Dubai 7s, helping them secure a championship title.
His return comes as a replacement for Chrisant Ojwang, who underwent surgery following an injury sustained against Ireland.
The squad remains largely unchanged, with 12 players from the Dubai 7s squad retaining their spots.
