The Western Region Nationwide fixtures kicked off as planned and five sides managed to pick maximum points across the two zones.
Shamberere lead Zone A with five points, having picked a 48-0 win in their opener against Mbale Rugby. Back-to-back Champions Sigalagala also have five points.
The third place is held by Webuye rugby who are level on points with Borderrucks who also have four points. Only Bungoma Rugby managed a losing bonus point in the zone and are fifth in the log.
Maseno University are top on the log in the Nyanza zone having handed Transmara Kilgoris a rude welcome of 90-0. They have five points after the opening round.

The second place has Kisii Kifaru with five points while the former Kenya Cup side Kisii Rugby Club have five points after a 36-10 over Kisii National Polytechnic.
