Western Bulls secured a 13-00 win against UoE Trojans in their first KRU Championship game played at the Bull Ring on Saturday.
Heading to this campaign, Echulusi had overcome a challenging 2023/24 season to reach the playoffs but were denied a ticket to Kenya Cup after loss to Impala.
They were eyeing back to back wins over UoE Trojans having won 32-9 in Kakamega last season.
Two tries and penalty were enough to earn them their first win of the season as they kept a cleansheet.
The hosts managed to secure the victory after getting two tries from scrum-half Eugene Muyinzi and winger Gascoigne Muganzi thus earning them 10 points on the scoreboard.
Late on Muyinzi added 3 points making it a total of 13-00 handing them four points.

In Karen, immediate former Kenya Cup side Catholic Monks registered a massive 48-10 over newly promoted TUM Marines.
The side landed four converted tries in the first half and a penalty for a 31-0 lead at halftime.
In the second half, two converted tries and another penalty earned them 17 points.
TUM pulled back late on for 10 points as CUEA bagged maximum points.
