Western Bulls secured a 13-00 win against UoE Trojans in their first KRU Championship game played at the Bull Ring on Saturday.

Heading to this campaign, Echulusi had overcome a challenging 2023/24 season to  reach the playoffs  but were denied a ticket to Kenya Cup after loss to Impala.

They were eyeing back to back wins over UoE Trojans having won 32-9 in Kakamega last season.

Two tries and penalty were enough to earn them their first win of the season as they kept a cleansheet.

The hosts managed to secure the victory after getting two tries from scrum-half Eugene Muyinzi and winger Gascoigne Muganzi thus earning them 10 points on the scoreboard.

Late on Muyinzi added 3 points making it a total of 13-00 handing them four points.
