The opening try was scored by Samuel Asati, converted to put KCB ahead 7-0. The bankers kept the pressure on, with Olukusi diving over for a second try, though the conversion attempt was off target.
Strathmore struggled to match KCB’s pace early on and were caught off guard on the left side, where beautiful offloads from Felix Ojoo, Bob Muhati, and Emmanuel Opondo set up Shiasi for the third try, extending the lead to 19-0.
KCB struck again as Asati spotted an unmarked Ojoo near the right corner, scoring to make it 24-0, though the conversion missed.
Laban Kipsang, making his debut for KCB, slipped past defenders to score a center-post try, which Isaac Njoroge couldn’t convert.
The Bankers reached the 30-point mark when Shiasi crossed for his second try, concluding the first half.

KCB picked up where they left off in the second half, with offloads between Kipsang and Floyd Wabwire setting up Opondo to dive over, with Njoroge adding the extras for a 43-0 lead.
Strathmore finally responded when Gabriel Ayimba’s inside pass found Nygel Amaitsa, who scored in the corner.
KCB resumed their onslaught, with Jack Adero diving over from a ruck to push the score to 50-5. Wabwire’s speed proved too much for the Leos, allowing him to release Ajeliti, who sprinted over for a try, making it 55-5.
Bob Muhati weaved through the Leos’ defense for a try that extended the lead to 62-5 after the conversion. Ajeliti scored his second try of the day and converted to make it 69-5.
Olukusi then had a break down the right wing, scoring the final try for a 74-5 win, though he missed the conversion.
