Impala announced that the competition will kick off on October 19, with the semi-finals set for October 26. The tournament will conclude with the finals on November 2, paving the way for the new Kenya Cup season, which will start in November.
KCB Rugby hold the record for the most titles won in the Impala Floodlit Tournament, having secured their 10th title last year after defeating Nondies 25-23 in extra time.
This victory allowed the bankers to surpass Mean Machine, who had nine titles. KCB are also the first team to win the Floodlit Tournament five consecutive times.
Heading into last year’s edition, KCB had already won four consecutive titles, while Nondies were making back-to-back final appearances, having last won the title in 2012.
With new leadership and award-winning players at the helm, KCB are targeting another successful run in the Floodlit Tournament as they build momentum for the new Kenya Cup season.
