The Kenya Lionesses squad has been announced ahead of the Safari 7s tournament, which will take place at Machakos Stadium this Saturday and Sunday.
The squad will be missing key players Christable Lindo, Grace Okullo, Judith Okumu, and Stella Wafula, who are currently in the USA on assignments with the Serengeti Elephants. Despite their absence, the team features a blend of experience and fresh talent.

Experienced players Sheila Chajira, Terry Ayesa, and Diana Kemunto will bring their wealth of experience to the squad. Sinaida Mokaya and Freshia Oduor, who impressed in the recent test match against Madagascar with the Kenya Lionesses 15s side, have also been included in the squad.

Edith Nariaka, Moreen Muritu, and Diana Awino add further strength to the team.Also making the squad are Lovinah Mijere, Faith Livoi, Ann Njeri, and Yvette Okatch.
The Kenya Lionesses will be aiming to reclaim the Safari 7s title, having lost the 2023 edition to Uganda.
The Women’s Category of the Safari 7s will feature five teams: Kenya Lionesses, Kenya Cubs, Uganda Lady Cranes, Costa Blanca Barbarians, and Shogun (formerly Samurai), who will be fielding their first-ever women’s side.
