National Varsity 7s hosts Egerton University had an impressive start bagging three wins on the opening day at Egerton University.
Four tries were enough to hand Egerton a 20-5 win over Dedan Kimathi University. They later landed two converted tries for a 14-0 win over Maseno and competed the day with a 14-7 win over Kenyatta University.
Moi University and Kabarak University won all their matches with their pool having only three teams in their group.
On Sunday, the matches will head to the knock to stage starting with the Cup Quarterfinal.
