Kenya Rugby Union (KRU) has secured a sponsorship deal worth Ksh 22 million from Kenya Breweries Limited (KBL) ahead of the highly anticipated Safari 7s tournament scheduled for next month.
Mark Ocitti, Managing Director of KBL, announced the partnership, confirming that Tusker will also be the official beverage partner for the event.

Ocitti praised the longstanding relationship between Tusker and Kenya Rugby, noting its mutual benefits over the years.
“It’s an honour to be part of this. We truly value this relationship that has lasted for 30 years. The partnership between Tusker and Kenya Rugby has grown to a point where it’s hard to talk about rugby without mentioning Tusker,” Ocitti remarked.
“We are investing Ksh 22 million into this year’s Safari 7s and will be the official beverage partner. This is a fantastic opportunity to continue supporting and nurturing rugby in the country,” he said.

KRU recently confirmed that the 2024 Safari 7s will take place at Machakos Stadium from October 11 to 13, 2024, marking the first time the tournament is being held outside Nairobi.
The Union highlighted Machakos as the ideal venue due to its vibrant atmosphere, accessibility, and availability of accommodation and essential services for both fans and players.
Ticket prices have also been announced, with advanced regular tickets set at Ksh 500 per day and VIP tickets at Ksh 1,000 per day. Fans can also purchase season tickets in advance, priced at Ksh 1,000 for regular and Ksh 2,000 for VIP access. Tickets at the gate will be slightly higher, with regular tickets costing Ksh 750 and VIP tickets Ksh 1,500.
The 2024 Safari 7s promises an exciting weekend of rugby action, enhanced by Tusker’s continued support of the sport.
