Kabarak University finally broke their finals losing streak by defeating NYS Spades 5-0 to claim the Driftwood 7s title at Mombasa Sports Club.
Heading into the competition, the Nakuru-based varsity team had suffered consecutive final defeats at both the Ingo, Dala and Kabeberi 7s.
This weekend marked their fourth appearance in a final, where they endured a scoreless first half before landing the lone try in the second half to secure a hard-fought victory.
