Four changes for Mwamba as Okello returns for Driftwood 7s

Mwamba RFC coach Joseph Baabu has announced his squad, making four changes ahead of the Driftwood 7s, which will take place on September 7-8 at Mombasa Sports Club.

The coach has brought in Mike Okello, Allan Zaddock, Byron Webbo and George Omolla, who replace Idris Kaikai, Kenya 7s skipper Tony Omondi, Moses Karagori, and Eugene Ojiambo.

Mwamba RFC retains key players such as Sabala Tendwa, Charles Chenge, Dennis Ndayala, Daniel Taabu, Brian Mutugi, Alex Arturo, Bosire Shaquille, Alexander Gachiri, and Kabeberi 7s most promising player Joseph Odoyo.

Currently sitting in 13th place with 12 points, Mwamba RFC find themselves in Pool C alongside Kenya Harlequin, Kabras Sugar, and Nakuru RFC.

With six Driftwood 7s titles to their name, Mwamba RFC are one of the most successful clubs in the tournament’s history, last winning the title in 2022.
