Former Kenya Cup Champions KCB Rugby have confirmed the departure of assistant and backs coach Mark Mshila from the club.
Mshila was part of the backroom staff under Coach Curtis Olago, who left the club last month after his contract expired.
KCB Rugby gratitude
The club expressed their gratitude to Mshila for his contributions and wished him well in his future endeavours.
“Dear Double M, Mark Mshila, they say leadership is about making others better as a result of your presence and ensuring that impact lasts in your absence. Thank you so much for the difference you have made in the lives of many at the Den. Mr. Zero Pressure, you will be missed, but we wish you all the best in your new journey,” KCB announced.

Under the leadership of Olago and Mshila, KCB Rugby secured multiple Kenya Cup titles, but the last three seasons have been challenging for the club, as they have not won any major domestic trophies.

Mshila, who previously played for Mombasa, Mwamba, and the Kenya national team, transitioned into coaching after his playing career.
He now joins Mike Shamiah, who also departed the club after serving under Coach Olago. More members of Olago’s technical bench are expected to leave before the new season begins with Dennis Mwanja set to be the only member set to stay.
KCB Rugby changes
KCB have appointed Oliver Mang’eni as the new head coach, with a number of former teammates joining him as assistant coaches.
Additionally, the club has named Jacob Ojee as the new captain, with Peter Waitere serving as his assistant.
