Shem Okola has been appointed as the new captain of the Strathmore Leos, with Gabriel Ayimba set to serve as his assistant.

Okola’s new role comes months after he made his Kenya Simbas debut and went on to win the Elgon Cup. He also represented South African side Western Province in the Safari 7s tournament.

Ayimba, on his part, has represented Kenya Morans and was part of the squad that finished sixth in the Africa Men’s 7s held in Mauritius.
The duo will lead the team starting with the National 7s Circuit, with Okola set to feature this weekend in the Christie 7s where they will face varsity sides Blak Blad and Daystar, as well as hosts Kenya Harlequin.
