The fixtures for the 2024 Rugby Africa Men’s 7s have been released, with hosts Mauritius confirming slight changes to the pools ahead of the first leg event set to be held in Port-Louis, Mauritius, from June 29-30.

This year’s African Men’s 7s will be played across two weekends, with the team having the highest point tally being crowned champions.

A significant change has been made in Pool C, where South Africa will join the group, replacing Ghana, who are now expected to skip the event.

This adjustment means that Zimbabwe Cheetahs, Zambia, and Algeria will face off against South Africa in Pool C.

The other pools remain unchanged and in Pool A, Kenya 7s, who won the 2023 edition by defeating South Africa 17-12 in Harare, will compete against Nigeria, Madagascar, and hosts Mauritius.

Pool B will see the 2022 champions Uganda 7s take on Burkina Faso, Tunisia, and Ivory Coast. Uganda enters the event after missing out on an Olympic ticket following a quarterfinal loss to eventual winners South Africa.

However, earlier this year, Uganda clinched the All Africa Rugby 7s title with a perfect win record.

The first leg of the competition will run from June 29-30, with the second leg taking place from July 6-7.

The Labourdonnais Stadium in Port-Louis will host the events, bringing together 12 African national teams for a thrilling rugby sevens competition.
