Buffaloes change 8 ahead of Lions face off in Rugby Super Series

Buffaloes Head coach Max Adaka has made eight changes to the starting line-up with several youngsters being rested ahead of the match against Lions set for 4:00 pm at the Bull Ring.

The match will decide who will feature in next weekend’s final slated for RFUEA Grounds.

Buffaloes add Simbas quartet

Four Kenya Simbas players who won the Kenya Cup title with Kabras have been called up to the squad.

Eugene Sifuna starts as hooker replacing Geoffrey Shitambasi with Edward Mwaura and Hillary Mwanjilwa continuing as props.

The unchanged second row has Hillary Odhiambo and Clinton Litali with George Nyambua coming in the back row to captain the side. He is joined by Biden Hayo and Jeanson Misoga while  Thomas Simiyu, Collins Indeche, and Gabriel Adero pave the way. Adero and Indeche are however among the replacements.

Collins Osore paves the way for youngster Roy Maruti to don jersey nine while Eric Cantona, is replaced by Barry Robinson who showed his prowess at 10 in the Kenya Cup season.

Buffaloes’ top scorer Griffin Chao has no place this weekend as Brian Kiptanui starts on the left wing.

Brian Kiptanui’s place on the right side has been taken up by Western Bulls Daniel Kipchirchir.

Hillary Salano keeps his place in the team as well as Darrel Brantana. Barthes Cup winner and East African 7s Schools games MVP Jackson Siketa has a place at number 15 with Samuel Omollo moving to the bench.

Geoffrey Shitambasi, Emmanuel Otieno, Darell Olouch, Collins Indeche have been handed a chance as subs.
