Kisii RFC have confirmed their spot in the Championship qualifiers quarter finals after securing a narrow 12-10 win over Kabete Stallions.
The tough game saw Kisii managing the win without a try as their points streak started with Carlos Magara’s three points score which gave the guests a drift as they dominated the first half of the game 03-00.

The second half was deemed tough but the two teams held a responsive scoring play with the guests stepping up first as they boosted their lead to 06-00 with three points from the Scrum half Valentine Odoyo.
The hosts, determined to stay in the game, responded back with a well taken penalty kick by Mungai Paul to change the scores 06-03.
The guests, frustrated with the gap reduction, managed another penalty which was successfully converted by the scrum half Valentine Odoyo to stretch their lead 09-03.
Stallions keen to protect their home ground pride, managed the first try of the game by the fullback Ndung’u Lawrence which was successfully converted as they took the lead 10-09.
Kisii RFC fighting spirit managed a last minute penalty after an infringment by the hosts and determined to bag the win, Edwin Omari sealed their victory 12-10 after the successful kick.
Other teams that have qualified for the quarter finals are TUM Marines who were awarded a walk over by the Egerton Wasps, Zetech Oaks who secured a 29-00 win over the NYS Eagles.
Newly established Project 61 also booked their spot after a 17-06 win over Kenya Prisons, Shamberere Institute managed a narrow 11-10 win over Moi Arsonists to book their spot.
Western region champions Sigalagala National Polytechnic also booked their spot after a narrow 14-10 win over MKU Thika alongside Makueni RFC and AP warriors who were awarded walkovers by their opponents.
