Kenya Morans continued their winning streak in the All-African Games, claiming a notable victory against Ghana with a final score of 24-5 in the intense match held at Ghana University.
The game began with Kenya seizing an early lead, scoring the first try in the left corner and securing a 5-0 advantage despite a missed conversion.
However, the hosts, Ghana, intensified their offensive efforts, exerting pressure on Kenya’s defence with several penalties but failing to breach through.
After halftime, Ghana managed to break through Kenya’s defence, levelling the score at 5-5. Undeterred, Kenya swiftly responded with a pivotal centre-post try from captain George Ooro, followed by a successful conversion, propelling them to a 12-7 lead.
Building on their momentum, Kenya capitalized on a quick reaction off a half-penalty, as Cornelius Mokoro set up Chrissant Onjwang for another try, extending their lead to 17-5.

In the closing moments of the game, Elvis Olukusi secured Kenya’s victory with a powerful display, fending off defenders before crossing over for a decisive try, sealing the team’s third consecutive win.
With this triumph, Kenya Morans now prepare to face Uganda in their final round-robin match at 7:50 P.M. The Morans enter the match with nine points from their three successive victories.
Meanwhile, Uganda, having secured wins in all their five opening matches, stands as formidable competition, poised to claim the tournament title.
