Moi Arsonists and Murang’a University have been crowned Kenya University Sports Association Federations National playoff 7s Champions in the tournament held at Pwani University grounds on the 23 and 24t of February 2024.
Murang’a University managed to defend their title in the women’s division which was played in respect to the round robin discipline amongst the six present teams; Rongo University, Meru University, Chuka University, Karatina University, Murang’a University and Maseno University.
Murang’a University who faced no defeat managed three wins, and two draws to hold the first position on the other hand, Meru University were second after they secured three wins, suffered a single loss and managed a single draw
Rongo who are third secured three wins and suffered two losses in their match against Meru and Murang’a.
In the Men’s division, Moi University Arsonists are the newly crowned Champions after they secured a tough 12-10 win against Technical University of Mombasa.
Moi denied the Western Region Champions Kisii University a chance to play in the finals after a 12-07 victory in the semifinals after they qualified as pool B leaders.
TUM, who were pool A leaders, faced off with Maseno University who were second in pool B and managed to snatch 5 points in the Sudden death play after a final level score of 12-12.
