In their pool they were pooled alongside nationwide side Kifaru RFC, Kibabii boys and Itierio boys.
They proved their dominance in the pools winning all their matches big. In the first game they met Kibabii whom they ran past them 22-0 before meeting Itierio boys whom they defeated 36-0.
Their game against Kifaru RFC seemed heavy, however, they manoeuvered their way going past the white wash once before their full back slotted in two penalties bringing the fulltime scores to 18-0.
They booked their place in the semi finals playing against Nyabigena boys winning 36-0 before eventually proceeding to finals where the tournament’s most valuable player, Matrix Matangi played a key role in helping them win the game big.
In a post match interview with the Scrummage Africa, Lee Arstone, who is their head coach lauded his side for winning the trophy without conceding a single point.
“The boys were ready and from the first game they were prepared on winning the tournament.” Said Lee.
“My side is picking up well and we are preparing well for this year’s competitions later on in the term. Expect a different Kisii.” Concluded Lee.
