Kenya Lionesses squad to play Colombia released

Kenya Lionesses have revealed their 23-man squad to play against Colombia on Friday, 27 October 2023 at the Sevens in Dubai

Diana kemunto will start as the open-side flanker and will join the blindside flanker Enid Juma,who is also the team captain for the team that will battle with the colombians in that tournament.

Naomi Jelagat will partner with Maureen Chebet during the match as the locks.

At the front row, Natasha Emali the vice-captain of the team will start as the tighthead prop and Rose Otieno as the loosehead prop.

Hooker Naomi Muhanji will collaborate with the props in rubbing shoulders against their opponents.

On the other hand, Phoebe Akinyi will start at position eight during that match.

Judith Okumu, the scrum-half will link with Ann Goretti who will start as the fly-half.

With an aim of coming out as winners, Stella Wafula and Prisca Nyerere will start as the midfielders.

At the left-wing,Terry Ayesa will link with Sharon Auma at the right wing and Diana Omosso at the fullback to lock horns with the Columbians during that match.

The bench replacement will feature Knight Otwoma, Valentine Otieno,Evelyn Kalemera,Faith Livoi, Hesla Khisa,Edith Nariaka, Esther Juma and Mitchelle Akinyi.

The team finishing bottom of WXV 3 will play-off against the next-best ranked side, according to the World Rugby Women’s Rankings as they stand following the final match of WXV that year.

The Lionesses are currently fifth with one point from two matches while Colombia occupy the sixth and bottom slot, pointless after two outings
