Garashi High School Rugby emerged as the champions in the Coast Region 7s School Championship after securing a 19-5 win over Shimba.
The Tana River-based school proved to be unstoppable, landing three tries, two of which were successfully converted, accumulating an impressive 19-5 lead over Shimba Hills.

To reach the final, Shimba Hills displayed their dominance as they outplayed Mwavumbo, securing a comprehensive 24-0 win. On the other side of the bracket, Garashi engaged in a tightly-contested clash against St. Mary’s.
Garashi demonstrated their resolve, prevailing with a hard-fought 12-7 victory, sealing their spot in the much-anticipated final.
In the quarters, Kayatiwi faced a tough challenge against Shimba Hills, with Shimba Hills emerging victorious with a scoreline of 22-12. The clash between Waa Boys and Mwavumbo proved to be an intense contest, ending in a nail-biting 7-7 draw after regular time. Waa Boys went in to win in extra time.
Garashi proved their mettle against Miritini, showcasing an impressive performance that led to a convincing 17-0 triumph. In another exciting quarter-final match, Timbila battled fiercely against St. Mary’s, but St. Mary’s emerged triumphant with a commanding 21-0 victory, securing their place in the semis.
