Kabarak win Dala 7s Division II

Kabarak University have been crowned Dala 7s Division Two Champions after winning against the University of Eldoret.

Kabarak claimed the title after a 17-12 win thanks to three and one conversion against UoE’s two tries and one conversion.

In the Bronze finals, Embu dragons received the honours after beating the Stallion with a 17 – 10. In the 5th place finals, Zetech University received the crown after a 24 – 10 win against the administration police team.

In the Trophy Challenge Finals, the MKU Nyeri is the champions after securing a 14 – 10 win against Sigalagala.
In the Spear, Finals played between Eldoret RFC and Molo RFC, the Eldoret team lost to the Molo RFC with a 0 – 5 loss.

Kenya Prisons are the 13th-place champions after beating the Siaya RFC team to secure a 22 – 07 win.

In the main cup semifinals, Kabarak University secured a 7 – 5 win against the Stallion while the University of Eldoret also made their way to the finals by defeating the Embu Dragons 22 – 0.

In the Cup quarters, the stallion secured a 17 – 05 win against the Zetech Oaks. Mbale RFC were highly overshadowed by the Kabarak University side who secured a 17 – 5 win and in the last quarterfinals game, NYS Spades were denied a chance to proceed to the Semis by the Embu RFC after a 24-12 loss.

MKU Thika played the third game in this quarter and secured a 28-0 win against the outgoing Dala 7s Champions Vihiga granites whereas the fourth game in this quarter featured the Blak Blad 24 – 05 win against the Siaya RFC.

In the Challenge Trophy, Sigalagala overpowered the Kenya prisons to secure a 22 – 7 win while the Homabay RFC were unable to withstand pressure from Northern Suburb and they lost with a 15-12.

The Stallion, Zitech Oaks, Kabarak University, Mbale RFC, Embu RFC and the NYS Spades qualified for the main cup quarter-finals while the Sigalagala, Kenya Prisons, Northern Suburbs, Homabay, MKU Thika, Vihiga granites, Blak Blad and Siaye qualified for the trophy Challenge quarter-finals.

Day 2 of the Dala 7s division two tournament at the Kisumu National Polytechnic commenced with the completion of day one pooling with NYS Spades shining against Shamberere Institute and Borderrucks chocking the Uzima University team.
