Catholic Monks Head Coach John Isalambo has announced his starting XV that will take on Nakuru RFC in a crucial match at Catholic University Grounds on Saturday 25 February.
With the Monks currently fighting to avoid relegation, the stakes are high and the coach has selected his team hoping to secure a positive result.
In the front row, Humphrey Chivini will take up the position of loosehead prop, with Brezzevene Owiti at hooker and Jerry Olem completing the front row at tighthead prop. The second row will consist of Isaac Kubasu and P Otieno, while the back row will feature Felix Okumu, Hassan Wambani, and Maxwell Omondi.
At scrum-half, Samuel Owino will be tasked with distributing the ball to the fly-half S Murunga, who will be responsible for directing the team’s attack.
On the wings, A Ochieng and Raymond Nyongesa will be looking to use their speed and agility to break through the Nakuru RFC defense.
In the midfield, Victor Omupere will partner with Patrick Kluivert. Eric Ogutu will be stationed at fullback.
On the bench, Michael Mulandi, Elly Okomo, Morgan Ngumbi, Saidi Winston, Abdul Sadik, Zephenes Obwang, Edwin Wetulo, and George Chapman will be ready to provide support and fresh legs if needed.
Monks will survive if they pick a point or more and Mean Machine lose their match without any losing bonus point.
