The Chebarbar 7s 2022 edition, which was dubbed Peace Edition, kicked off at the Eldoret Sports Club in Eldoret, Uasin Gishu as planned.
It was the first time the tournament is making a comeback since 2016, this time its sole purpose being to preach peace ahead of the general elections.
Moi University, who are the hosts of this tournament, reached the quarter-finals after a triumphant 19-5 win over Entebbe Jaguars. The Arsonists also put up a show against Manyati RFC to reach this stage.

Favourites Rugby on the Road also registered impressive performances against Arsonists Wazalendo (26-14) and (38-5) against Kapsabet RFC.
Entebbe Jaguars, Arsonists Wazalendo and UOE Trojans are also in the ongoing quarters. The final will be played on Saturday evening.
