Kenya Rugby Union have announced Pools for the Penultimate round for the 2022 National Sevens Circuit-Prinsoloo 7s scheduled for Nakuru Athlertic Club on 9-10 July 2022.
Dala 7s Champions Homeboyz headline Pool A and will face off with Catholic Monks, Kabras RFC and Western Bulls who are back to the top tier after playing in the second division at Dala 7s. The Deejays head to Nakuru hoping to replicate the 2019 performance that saw them feature in the final.
Pool B has Dala 7s runners-up Menengai Oilers who have had back-to-back final appearances this season. The Oilmen will battle it out with MMUST Rugby Club, hosts Nakuru RFC and Kisumu RFC.
In Pool C, KCB Rugby who have claimed bronze twice this season and they will take on Nondies and Ngong Road sides Impala and Kenya Harlequin.
Pool D has Prinsloo 7s defending Champions Mwamba Rugby who will take on Strathmore Leos, Blak Blad and newly promoted Vihiga Granites. Granites were promoted after winning the second division at Dala 7s.
In 2019., Mwamba needed sudden death for a crucial try from tournament MVP Michael Okello to dethrone Homeboyz in a 14-7 triumph at the Nakuru Athletic Club. The two teams had tied at 7-7 in regular time.
