Kisii School will represent Nyanza Region in the National Prescott Competition after the emerging top in their region.
The region was divided into two conferences: Upper Nyanza and Lower Nyanza. Lower Nyanza contained branded schools like Maseno School and St Mary’s Yala, but they opted out for various.
To proceed to the Nationals, Kisii topped the standings with a 100% record after winning all their five matches in the Upper Nyanza conference.
The competition kicked off at Nduru Boys High School four weeks ago. Kisii School trounced Gekano 42-12 before defeating Cardinal Otunga Mosocho 8-0. Cardinal Otunga defeated Gekano 21-0 as Nduru Boys defeated Nyamira’s Gekano 17-3.
Matchday two was at Kisii School where the hosts defeated rival Nduru Boys 18-5. Nduru then returned to winning ways with a 17-14 victory over Cardinal Otunga in a closely contested encounter.
The last match day was at Cardinal Otunga Mosocho on June 18 and Kisii school saw off Cardinal 10 – 3. With the lower Nyanza schools having pulled out of the competition, Kisii school will be representing the region in Prescott league Nationals.
Kisii will join Rift Valley winners Kabianga High School and Nairobi Champions Ofafa Jericho in the Nationals.
In Western, Vihiga and Bungoma will battle for the ticket National ticket.
