Kenya 7s in a narrow defeat to South Africa in London 7s

Kenya 7s have finished bottom in Pool B after a narrow 24-21 loss to South Africa in the final group stage match played at Twickenham.

South Africa have finished top in the Pool after a 100% win record. South Africa started off impressively to score tries through Impi Visser and Dewald Human at the second and fourth minute.

Muller du Plessis grabbed the third try for SA before Nelson Oyoo pulled back for a 19-7 halftime score.

In the final half, Oyoo landed the second try for shujaa after 11 minutes of play but SA skipper Siviwe Soyizwapi put them into the 20s with another try.

Benson Salem came off the bench to score and convert for Shujaa but it was too late.

Shujaa will now focus on the ninth place quarters while South Africa will be making a return to the Cup quarters after missing out last weekend.

New Zealand and Fiji also maintained a perfect start.
