JumiaPay Pirates winning run at the Kabeberi 7s continued as they ended the day with a 17-5 win over Meru RFC in the final pool E games staged at RFUEA grounds.
The win sent the Pirates to the quarter-finals and are set to face MKU Nairobi on Sunday.
Steve Bosire who was the toast of the day opened the scores with an excellent try inside seven minutes of play to give his side a 5-0 lead.
Bosire completed his brace moments later, while Devin Abuga dotted the last try for pirates which was converted by William Kyalo in the second half of the game which was a closely contested battle with Meru running for a consolation. Pirates held to win 17-5.
Going into quarters pirates had earlier trashed Kenya Prisons 21-7 before whipping British Army 33-7.
Other teams proceedings to the main cup Quaters are Adminstration Police who also had a 100% win record and will face former Kenya Cup side USIU.
Shamas Foundation will lock horns with Makueni RFC in the Second Quarters while Zetech University will battle it out with their varsity counterparts Catholic University Of East Africa.
