South Coast Pirates Head Coach Kevin Amiani has paraded his 12-man travelling party for National Seven series opener Kabeberi 7s set for Saturday 21st-22nd at RFUEA grounds, Nairobi.
Ahead of the campaign, the side has announced a partnership with sponsors JumiaPay. The partnership will see Pirates be able to honour all the six tournaments of the National 7s campaign.
“South Coast Pirates are happy to announce our partnership with Jumiapay. This will allow us to compete in all 6 legs of the National 7s Circuit,” read part of the statement.
The deal sees Pirates renamed Jumia Pay Pirates during this National 7s Circuit. It will be the second time that they will be featuring in the circuit and Amiani is keen to earn a promotion to the first division at the end of Kabeberi 7s.
“It’s feels good to back on a shorter version after 2 years. This is our second time participating in kabeberi 7s we looking forward to great good memories over the weekend. Our target is to earn promotion to first division,” Amiani told the Scrummage.
“We will be working to ensure our fitness are up to the standards but with the skill set we have.”
Charles Okwemba will captain the coastal side and will be assisted by Speedster Joseph Musyoki in captaincy duties.
Regular Cliphod Odhiambo has also been included alongside Ali Rashid, Kyalo William, Collins kabayo and Devin Abuga.
Steven Bosire, Halfback Philp Mbisi, Ken Omaset and Mwinyi Juma also made the cut, Edwin Ojiambo will be making his debut.
Pirates are in pool C alongside Meru RFC,Kenya Prisons and Batuk.
