KCB II and Kabras Sugar II lead their respective conferences after the latest round of Eric Shirley Shield action, as clear early trends begin to emerge in both the eastern and western conferences.

In the eastern conference, KCB II have established themselves as the team to beat. The bankers sit top with a perfect record of six wins from six matches, collecting the maximum 30 points. Their dominance is reflected in a commanding points difference.

Nondies II occupy second place with 12 points from four matches. Despite playing fewer games, they remain firmly in contention after recording two wins, while Strathmore Leos II sit third on 10 points. The students have shown flashes of quality but inconsistency has prevented them from closing the gap on the leaders.

Kenya Harlequin FC II are fourth with nine points after five matches while KU Blak Blad II sit fifth on 14 points, boosted by three wins that have kept them competitive despite mixed results.

Daystar Falcons II are sixth with minus points after failing to play in several matches, while Impala II prop up the eastern conference standings. Impala remain winless and will be eager to turn performances into points as the season progresses.

EDITOR’S PICKS:

Over in the western conference, Kabras Sugar II lead the standings with 20 points from four matches. Unbeaten so far, Kabras have combined defensive solidity with attacking efficiency to open up a small cushion at the top.

Menengai Oilers II sit second but trail Kabras on points difference after five outings. The Oilers remain well placed to challenge for top spot as the conference race tightens.

Kisumu RFC II are third with five points from four matches, having managed just one win. They are followed by Nakuru RFC II in fourth, who have picked up a single victory from three matches and remain within striking distance of mid-table security.

MMUST II currently sit bottom of the western conference with minus points, having endured a difficult run. Despite showing improvement in patches, results have not gone their way, leaving them under early pressure.
